"Break Free" paddling event at Dow's Lake on Sunday May 15

For those who may be interested, there is an event being organized this coming Sunday, May 15 at 1pm on Dow's Lake called 'Break Free'. It's part of a series of demonstrations taking place across the world to encourage governments and citizens to "Break free from fossil fuels" and embrace a clean energy future.

On Sunday, kayakers and canoeists will be meeting on the water at the Pavillion at the north west corner of Dow's Lake with banners and decorations. From there, the group will paddle across the lake and up the canal to Bank St. before turning back. There should be a lot of people around as Tulip Fest will be in full swing. Parking is available in the lot across the street from the marina at Dow's lake or on Preston.
