This will be my first paddle since last October or so. I'll feel like a newcomer / beginner.

Will meet at Eagleson Park & Ride 8:30am tomorrow Sat. 11 June. Space for 2 passengers, no extra boats unless we put it/them on my Subaru's roof-rack.

For our BBQ at Larry's, I'll bring some beers, salad & South African sausage which we call "boerewors".

The speech from the president is legendary each year... or so I've heard. Looking forward to it!

3 minutes to Loblaws, Beer store, and Liquor store all located in College Square

What to bring:
a chair or something suitable to sit on
warm dry clothes for the evening
something to BBQ
something to share if you so desire ... see note below
If there appears to be a lack of food stuff, Loblaws is open 24/7
something to drink (my preference is beer if you want to share)... nearby beer store or one-stop shopping @ Loblaws until 11PM, Liquor store 9 PM
Significant others

Note on "something to share"
Please don't feel obligated on bringing something to share with the group. It is better to work with a small group to bring something and good idea to post it to this thread is you are that organized. Ever hopeful that we don't end up with too many salads and no sweets or too much leftover food at the end of the evening.

What will be provided:
1 Gas BBQ
1 Charcoal BBQ --- great for roasting marsh mellows in the making of smores (hint)
Condiments - BBQ sauce, Hot sauce, mustard, Ketchup, relish, Mayonaise, steak spice
cooking utensils
Plates and cutlery
coolers
some non-alcoholic beverages
potato or pasta salad
some munchies

Time: 6:15 pm ish after the day on the river.
If you happen to arrive early and the place looks empty, feel free to make yourself comfortable in the backyard.

What to expect? Stellar conversations, story telling, maybe some prizes, and of course the much anticipated welcome speech from the CdB President.

Oh, this would be a good opportunity to renew your membership for 2016

your humble host
Larry
