I'm going to skip this trip.  Maybe next time.  Too much grass to cut and house to clean.
You missed an awesome day!!!

Paul😀

Hi.

Valleyfield is fine for creekboats. Perfect place to practice its handling.

We meet at my place, 87 Goulburn K1N 8C9 at 9:45 or so!

Yes, lots of room in Vallefield plus the opportunity perhaps to see some good freestyle or old friends. Many features including a gentle surf wave. If we leave at 10:00 Saturday, we put in at 12:00, 3-4 hours of play has us back in town around 18:00 which works for me!

Just noticed on Facebook that there is an event at Valleyfield on Sunday called the Crew throw down. It sounds like a playboat comp followed by a boater cross.

So Sat might be busy with folks practicing.

Richard

Always people practicing at Valkeyfield. It's so much bigger than the PumpHouse so tons of space and not an issue.

Paul👍😄

I would sure like to go to Valleyfield!

Only about an hour and a half from Ottawa, it is a great stretch of water right in the middle of the city with easy access and easy parking.

You won't find an easier stretch of water, great for slalom (think of the Pumphouse with much bigger waves and crystal clear water, spots for play boating and even hucking down a man-made waterfall if that's your thing !

There's even a bar up the hill afterwards if you want and the world's best poutine stand on the way back to Ottawa.

Wow can it get any better than this!

I'm in for Valleyfield!

Paul👍😄👍

I'm up for something Sat. Rouge or Valleyfield sound good since I've never been to either.

I'm in for Saturday.

Probably visiting some friends at a cottage Sunday/monday.

Rouge might be nice, although there is the 7-sisters Slalom race there this weekend.
Not sure whether that makes it better or worse to go there.

Bonnet Rouge is closed to whitewater folks this weekend, so probably the Gat is probably out.
