Wasn't too bad to catch actually, but the walk back up the middle of the river, sometimes in knee deep water, and getting back in the boat isn't for everyone. Unique experience for sure.

It can be difficult to catch and line up. The paddle out is loooooong.

As for levels, your best bet is to ask steve taylor if you know him, he's like a desert wave guru.

I feel like paddling tomorrow, but don't feel like a road trip. I've yet to try Desert Wave and might as well give it a go. I read that it is in at any level. Is there any beta people can provide on the easiest put in and technique to catching it at this level. Also...anyone want to join? Thanks!
