I'm planning to arrive tomorrow morning with the wife and my 2 older kids.  Bringing the tandem kayak.  We'll probably stay at Palmers both days.

Anyone interested in the level. http://wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/report/real_time_e.html?stn=02KD004

Looks like it will be around 140 this weekend. Was around 300 last weekend...

Thanks for the update. The level has dropped a hit. Hass should be prime at this level.

I was at Palmers last weekend.  We paddled the Lower Mad.  Hass Hole is washed out.  Rifle Shoot was a BIG roller coaster ride that was super fun.  There is a surf wave shortly after Rifle Shoot and some can be caught on the fly.  We did not paddle Can Opener but paddled the other channel on river right.  There is a hole at the end of that run.

As for Palmers, it was washed out.  The surf wave at Piano Rock was difficult to get on.  There were big waves at the bottom.  Not a lot of features were in.  We only paddled Palmers for a couple of hours.

Level was 300Saturday and 280 on Sunday.  Down to 140 so there will be lots of play on the features available.

Preferred Lower Mad.

For the first time in a year I have reliable car that can carry a canoe so I'm in.

Edit:  Jess couldn't get the weekend off, boo.

Middle mad might be fun, its been years... like maybe decades since I have run it.

Short class 2-3 section. Last I knew it only had releases on the weekdays, but with the high water it may be running consistently.

See you all there Friday night?? :p
