sort of old news ... they dropped a couple logs in currently holding at 160 ...
they might drop another log in for Palmer rapids section and downstream section.

middle mad forecasted flow 70-120

Looks like a nice weekend for camping wrt weather....

Larry

In the past, some of us have headed down to Hass Hole (when the level is right, a pretty nice surf wave) after lunch on Saturday while others remained at the campsite to play. Occasionally we have had an instructor to give us pointers, I believe for a small additional fee. With or without the instructor, I think this would be a fun option again.

Hi Kelly,

There is no plan to have an instructor there this year, but the option to head to Hass Hole on Saturday is still a good one.The levels are certainly likely to be higher than most other years, and that may play a role in folks decisions. Here is a link to someone else's comments on levels and playability: http://boatwerks.com/boater-board/topic/ideal-levels-for-hass-hole/
With levels currently at 180 and dropping...well lets wait and see.

I will also strongly be considering heading to the Middle Mad: http://www.shaggydesigns.com/guidebook/rivers/madawaska_middle.htm
The best indication for levels there that I know of is here:

I heard people talking about this section from a couple weeks back when the level was ~300 and very good things were said about it. It will not be 300 on Saturday, but likely somewhere between 40 and 100. Could be interesting!

Would go Friday too, back after Sunday run. Dependimg on weather... Weather also determines amount of gear I bring (telescopes etc.) so I might have room for 1 passenger. Or not.

Please use this thread to organise rides etc...

I will be heading up friday after work, around 3:30, I could possibly take others with me if they want, and are not too far out of the way. I will be out in kanata.

Also, thinking of bringing my charcoal grill and a couple bags of charcoal, so people can use that to cook on if they want.
