Btw... Blakeney is totally awesome right now, and not as sketchy as I once thought.

The upper part is the hardest, but you could put in and just run the lowest part.

The upper part has a couple moves you need to make, and screwing them up would not be fun.

Also, it has a few class 4+-5 drops on the right side, the water looked a little low to run any of them right now, but they would probably be good at a bit higher level.

Note level was about 63 when we were on it. I would say it would be good to go a bit lower, but not much. The top half was getting rocky.

Sounding good! I could head there from the Civic Hospital area before rush hour ~3:30 or after rush hour ~5:30. Lets wait to see who else might be game and then I'll leave it to you Jon to set up a time.

I've never paddled here before but I am certainly game on getting out there.
http://www.shaggydesigns.com/guidebook/rivers/mississippi_blakeney.htm

The level is currently 69.5 CMS and from what I can tell that is a pretty good level.

If we get the rain that is forecast for later in the week, then there is a pretty good chance that we will have some sustained flows here during the equinox season. I wrote this about the levels a couple years back:

I could be game most evenings (not tonight though) if anyone else has game. Jon? PeterK?
