Cancelled: Bonniebrooke Friday April 19
« Reply #9 on: April 18, 2019, 06:05:23 PM »
Hi folks,

After some research and discussion, a group of us are planning to run the Bonniebrooke.
It's a class 2+ - 3+ river with some larger drops that can easily be carried around.
It's located in the lower Laurentians and is about 1.75 hours from Ottawa.

Plans are to meet at the Tim Horton's at Autoroute 50 and Montee Paiement at 8:30am  GPS 45.504388, -75.676021
OR at the Tim Hortons in St Canut at 10:30 AM   GPS:  45.705077,-74.095771

Please use this thread to arrange rides and to let others know how many are interested in going.

Bill

Based on info from some paddlers who ran it this afternoon, there is still too much ice on the river, trip is cancelled.

We'll just have to inspect every bridge. The Montréal group should be there too--safety in numbers!

Be safe out there. With the forecasted rain, water levels can rise quickly.

That's why we planned this for Friday instead of later in the weekend.
