if you are looking for a quieter place to camp than WT... John Mason offers or used to offer tent space at his house. The place with "kayak" fence along Grant Settlement rd. He charges a nominal fee.

We stayed one night at John's place last year on a Saturday night (us in the van and a friend in a tent). It was quiet but also populated by paddlers (two young Europeans on extended stays to enjoy the river and focus on their freestyle and Clay Wright dropping in to chat with John amongst others). So lots of opportunity to exchange with fellow paddlers.

Found this on the RiverRun "Paddler Services" page:

"Paddler services for 2019 will be all out of our sister company Wilderness Tours while we complete our renovations.
The Wilderness Tours take out will be open for complimentary take out during this time. "

I just saw on the GKC Facebook that River Run is closed for the season for renovations. They are directing things to Wilderness Tours. I know no details. Just a heads up,
