Did the organizers make everyone got down Tombereau instead of des Cedres?

Nop, but Tombereau had a really big hole near the top that surfed many... Including me.

Yup, that's really low...
If you're wondering how it looked, check the videos on Vimeo.
Just search "fevhg" and you'll find lots of stuff (mostly canoe) showing how low it got.

Well, it turns out that the river was VERY low this weekend. It was below the gauge but I estimate a bit below 3. That made for a more intimidating gueule du lion. Out of around 15-20 people that came, only 6 paddled it. Same scenario for the group that went with the festival on Saturday morning.

Lesson: the more water the better for this rapid. Last year it was a blast at 16.

Hi everyone, Gat Fest is just around the corner. Adam and I are planning to go to the Gueule du Lion on Friday at 2 pm, to take our time and enjoy the rapid. That we on the saturday we can just go down the main section of the river and have a relaxed and enjoyable time.

Anyone wants to join us?
