I don't think that their online registration is up and running yet.  Paper registration is possible now.

Victoria Day Long-weekend

May 16, 17 and 18, 2008

REGISTRATION OPEN EARLY JANUARY - it fills up quick, so register with www.rapidmedia.com early to get a spot.

What is Palmer Fest?

Palmer Fest is Ontario?s premier whitewater canoe and kayak festival, presented by Rapid Media and hosted at the Paddler Co-op Boathouse. Palmer Fest is a laid-back social, instructional and fun long weekend of river paddling, clinics, on-water canoe and kayak demos, camping, music and whitewater films.

Saturday and Sunday there will be whitewater kayak, open canoe and C1 clinics as well as daycare so that parents can escape to the water for the action. In addition to the intro to advanced freestyle, slalom and river running kayak clinics, Palmer Fest is proud to present the popular Single Blade Symposium 4 and special solo and tandem canoe and kayak women?s clinics.

On Saturday evening there is a paddlers? social including catered barbecue, a special presentation by paddling legend Ken Ford followed by the best whitewater films from the 2008 Reel Paddling Film Festival World Tour, vendor exhibits and live music 'til midnight with the Rapid Palmers opening for the, to be announced, headlining band (to be released closer to the festival date for security reasons).

Beautiful Palmer Rapids is where Palmer Fest takes place and it has beginner-friendly class I-III sections of whitewater. Not far away are the Upper, Middle and Lower sections of the Madawaska River (including Hass Hole), a run on the Bonnechere River and the mighty Ottawa River - all within an hour?s drive of the Palmer Fest site.
