This should be relatively easy to make out of an aluminum plate. I'll see if I can obtain a piece of 6000-series stock (the kind that can be bent without too much creasing). Once I'm done making alcohol stoves and Stevie-in-a-Box sounds good, maybe I'll make a Snag Plate!

Just wondered if you had thought of starting with a 4 inch ABS end cap? I to have made alcohol stves and used one this summer for camp. Lots of fun amking things.

This sounds like a great idea - a plastic "snag plate" that can be added to any throwbag and which can be used to hook another throw rope already in the water. Check out the video. Seems like it should be a standard addition for a complete rescue kit.
