What a great day!
Me, Kelly, Larry M, Bill, Stephen, Jen were present and accounted for!
Valley feel can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be. We saw people running culvert waterfalls playing in trashy holes doing a long service. Thanks to Jacques’ good coaching, last week, Larry and I were able to attain that super difficult eddy that eluded us last week!
We met a new friend of the four-legged kind, Rio, who is adorable!

Great trip with good friends!

Cheers,

Paul

PS Rumours abound of paddling the mighty Gatineau next weekend… stay tuned…

Thanks Paul.  I am lucky enough to be going rock climbing in Squamish the first few weeks of Aug so I won't be paddling for a bit, but I hope to see ya'll on the river when I come back :)  Have fun tomorrow, paddle on

Aww, that’s too bad Natalie.
I hope you feel better real soon.
The summer is not even half over and
you will have a chance to paddle again soon!

Take Care!!!

Paul:-)

I'm not feeling well :(  mild symptoms, but given the pandemic I'm going to stay home tomorrow sadly.  Sorry to bail twice.  Normally would just ignore this and join, but...  Have a nice time.  syotr

See you Saturday!  (I'll meet you at Valleyfield)

I'm in too! I'll see you at your place Paul 930 Saturday. Hoping to car pool with somebody but would have to be passenger because my car only takes one, would pitch on gas money, no worries also though I can drive myself if doesn't work out :). I'm excited to try Mama Bear's!     paddle and paddle paddle

Yup. I'm in for sure. Paul and I have been a number of times already this year. An excellent place to sharpen your skills at any level of paddling, and when you are challenging yourself beyond your level dare I say, easy swims too. Also, your vehicle is right there, no shuttle to set up and most importantly, NO BUGS.

Paddling at Valleyfield Saturday, July 24

Me and others will be paddling this Saturday, July 24, at Valleyfield!

This is a friendly beginner to expert 400-meter course, full of clean water, calm eddies and some not so calm eddies, in a secluded area, right by all the amenities. Last Saturday, Jacques joined us and offered some really good coaching (Who knew he was a teacher at heart?)!!

We usually practice all our eddy moves (some are easy, others super hard!)  and surf at various spots.

We will stop at Mama Bears Chip Stand on our way back (there's an ice cream shop opened right beside Mama bears for those with a sweet tooth.

We meet at my place at 9:30 am (100 Boteler Street) where you can park in the visitor parking gratis.

Please post here to join!

If you can't or would rather do another run, please start your own thread.

Thank you,

Paul
