Hey Dave,
Thanks for the post!
I remember Angels Kiss - sooooo sofffft.  No clue where it was though heh.
If you are up to tour guide my cousin and I to Angel's Kiss via the Dave Variation I'd be in - you can reach me at 514 649 7888 ... I'm driving into Ottawa from the Laurentians so will be on the road from 07:00-09:30 ...
Otherwise ... I hope Champlain is working or today is gonna be a little bit of a letdown!
Cheers!
PS: i still drive a minivan and Parnham's old yellow jackson fun ... heh.

Hi Dom, glad to hear that you are still urr rocking it!

The level is currently at 8.25 and as far as I know that doesn't provide any decent P&P along the Main Channel. That level would usually solicit more interest for a Middle Channel run.

A couple times in recent years I've gone up to the river on the QC side and did some sort of P&P sessions. I would drop my boat and gear off near Garvins and then park above Lower No-Name. Put in above Garvins, paddle up to Angel's Kiss and eventually make my way back down river. Anyhow, I should be game for  such a session tomorrow. The road into this location can be a little rough. My Pontiac Vibe never complained but lower clearance than that might be an issue. https://goo.gl/maps/r4J3vPKgcmgo1eyw7

Anyhow, let me know if that works. Not too early of a start other than that I'm flexible.

Ottawa Surf Session Tomorrow

Hello CDB friends!
LONG TIME NO SEE Ehhh?
It has been a LONG time since i paddled a proper season - and recently i found out that my cousin in law (1/2 my age) paddled and thought it might be fun to go for a little surf sesh on the Ottawa tomorrow.  (Seems like I am now the 'older' paddler I once looked up to in awe - minus the grace and efficiency no doubt.)
Anyway, only funny detail is I can not for the life of me remember anything about what 'works' at '8' and have no clue what access is like these days?
Suggestions? Recommendations?
and ... if anyone is looking to catch up a little, laugh at me and pick up my parts we were thinking of leaving OT at 09:30 and heading to ... I'm not so sure yet.
NB : roll tested once this year on vague a guy in Montreal. Don't judge.
NB2 : how long did my very long membership last anyway ... this could be it ... The Last Year . uhoh.
NB3 : great to see so many familiar names still here ... you guys and gals are awesome!
