its not big , or manmade , but with the paddle toss it's definetly a classic example not to showboat.

Notice the the 1st guy (Max Bilbow) goes in with an H2O paddle (like mine!) and emerges with 1/2 an H2O paddle (like mine!--see photo!).

As for man-made hydraulics... They always make them completely straight, with no weak point. So dangerous and stupid. Here's one, seemingly small. But there's no weak point in the hole, so he stays in there for a while:

Engineers are learning, though. Here's an interesting example:

They modify the weir so that there is no keeper hole at the bottom, very clever.

Wow Man, that is the definition of a hole!  At least mother nature is kind enough to put weak spots in her hydraulics... Those man made ones are freaky for different reasons.

But a scary hole to me would be something like this!! Phils hole is nothing compared to this!

I don't know if I can imagine a more terrifying hole than that one!  This hole has a hole... Anyone want to go for a surf?
