I went on a bike ride today. Sewer Wave is in, has a small foam pile. A surfer dude was trying to get up on his feet on it. Then went to Deschesnes, met a bunch of firemen and rescue guys, looking at the big rapid there--no trace of our poor chinese fellows. But the playspot is in great shape there, and the eddies are reasonable: 1 or 2 boats max.

I think it's a bit too high for sewer wave, but the Deschesnes playspot should be a nice wave right now. Only problem, the eddies on either sides are pretty small (1 or 2 boats max) so large groups would not do well there...

The level is now 3.85. Last year I surfed that playspot at 3.75, and it was a really nice wave (not a hole). It is very safe, see my previous post on the topic:
