In my younger days i recall a big wave at high water. I tried to scout today however access to the sailing club is blocked for non members. The only way to scout is by water.  I am working in the west end tomorrow and am still thinking about scouting the rapid by water.

Hi Jim.

If you go, as Mark said, please let us know how it's like. But since the level is still rising, most likely there won't be anything there. In fact, Champlain is at its best right now, with at least 3 different waves that can be surfed safely. Why not take advantage of it? Cheers! --Christian

Is anyone interested in checking out BYOB on Tuesday after work? This is the Ontario side of the Deschene rapids. I could be there for 3:30, let me know if interested.
