P.S.  I was out hiking on Curley Lake Road in the south west Gatineau Park Monday afternoon.  With all the rain we've had, the bugs were bad.  Lots of hungry blood sucking deer flies and mosquitos with one landing on me about every 15-30 seconds even though I was walking at a good pace.   Others out elsewhere and significantly north, told me they had similar experiences.  Perhaps mother nature is responding to our society's contribution to the die off of bats and song birds.  Packing a head net might be wise.

Long Weekend Day Trips - July 1,2,3

I met Bill Schlarb 1/2 hour ago.  He is suggesting the Gatineau for July 1, Middle Rouge for July 2nd.  I'm also open for the Ottawa @ Beachburg.  I'm looking for 1 trip this weekend, preferably not the Middle Rouge. I need to car pool with someone, and leave my gas guzzler here in town.  I can arrange to meet up with my boat and gear.  On the river I'm willing to provide on river safety and cash for gas.  I have a strong roll.  Feedback please as what others would like.  You can call me late at 613 759-8348 for confirmation as I do not sit on my PC.
