Who is the "owner"? The rope had been left after the Fall season, we removed it from the fence at Bate Island in November or December so that it would not be too damaged by the expected ice. We cleaned it, removed the fish hook that was stuck in it. It's ready to be re-attached, Bill just has to remember to bring it...

On a different topic, the 2012 Spring melt has not started, the water is still clear and has none of the silt that we are used to when in flood. To get an idea of what it looks like at high water, look at last year's video starring Mark Dubois and Mike McKay. Pay attention to the colour of the water:

Hopefully the fellow cameraman from the Citizen (Scott, I did not get his last name) will upload a little segment of what he filmed today, hopefully the part with Martin, Paul and myself all surfing the 1st wave together!

The "owner" of the rope was asking for it yesterday!

OK then maybe we will be there a little later since everyone is coming later. Also is there anyway we can set up some sort of rope in the eddy so we can pull ourselves back into the eddy.  See you this afternoon!

Hmm... The rope is in Bill's garage...
