Hi all.
Just found out from a very reliable source that the combination of riverbed fill at the location of the bridge being built there and the opening of the dams in order to empty the reservoirs might create a surf wave right at the bridge construction site. It's the Rideau river in Strathconna Park in Sandy Hill. When the bridge is complete, the material restricting the flow will be removed, so if the wave forms, it'll be only once. The Rideau river authority plans to close the dams on November 7. I will investigate and report.
