It is really crummy weather today and the rivers are cold.  We are in Golden BC sitting in a cafe across from the Kicking Horse river.

So far we have made our way down from Jasper.  Highlights include:

Fraser River:  Nice class 3 wave trains with once class 5 (not runnable in a playboat at low levels).  Beautiful scenery and blue water.

Kananaskis River:  Class 3 all the way with nice play holes and gates for river running practice.  Probably the best beginner river I have ever seen.

Kicking Horse River:  Continuous class 4 with big water (cold).  Easy shuttle and take out (especially with local raft guides).  Did I mention cold??

We plan on running all three sections today if the weather treats us better.

Kicking Horse Mountain Biking:  We did a half day yesterday and plan to do a full day tomorrow.  I think I have a new addiction!!  Solid downhill trails from easy to aggressive.  .... really aggressive.

.......a couple Nine Inch Nails concerts along the way were pretty fun too!!

See you soon,

Mikey & Jo
