I would be up for going. I am not sure about the Eagle but would definitively do some lap on the Taylorville section.

Paul, there are two nice surf waves at the take out, with eddy service. Lots of little things to do in a playboat. Plus it's a very short run, you can run the fun stuff, walk the hard stuff, and repeat! --C.

Paul has a passport now! Yiah! Watch out US girls!!!

Yup, you could come and watch and you could play in the Beaverator hole...or the next hole - where one unfortunate CdeBer broke a paddle last time. Taylorville is really not that difficult. Just different.
But I would bring that long boat (Blunt?) and enjoy the ride. Did you convert that Blunt into a C1 or this is another Blunt?

Rob,
We'll see you at the Moose then. Hang tight! 8-)

I'd like to go to watch, decide if I want to run it next year. I heard there were some playspots so I might bring my Superstar. I finally got my passport so I can cross the border.

OK.This coming weekend are the last 2 scheduled releases for the Taylorville and Eagle sections of Beaver.
Poison Ivy is slowing leaving my body and my brain is clearing up.

Taylorville is a good intro to boofing and creeking and getting used to a creek boat, while Eagle is rated a V, but is short and sweet; the 2 narrow slides are the crux, with a short eddy in between to get the heart rate under control. It is still a V, so, you can seriously mess up your hairdo on the way down.

Some do up to 3 runs of Taylorville during a release and both sections can be done in the same day.
About a 4hr drive to get there from Montreal - about half that from Ottawa, I think.
And papers are required to cross the borders as this is in upstate NY.
(No worries, Paul, they let me in no problem...)
<Then in October, the Moose will be running every weekend.>

I have been talking with a couple of Montreal guys to drive up there, this coming weekend.
Anyone interested?
