Wow! I have heard so much of the Bonniebrook from Bill over the years...
How long is the run as I am a bit worried about it being only 7C?
Do I need a creek boat or will my red and white ID be okay?

Sandra

The run is about 10 km and we usually run in about 4 hours.
You will need to get out of your boat a few times to scout or carry around some of the drops.
You should be able to run pretty much everything in your Id but something like an Ez or
a boat that has more river-running ability will make your day a lot more fun (and dry).

Hi folks,

This Saturday we're planning to run the Bonniebrook in the lower Laurentians.
It's a technical class III river with a nice mix of rapids.
For a description, check out http://www.cartespleinair.org/Canot/04/BonniebrookLeduc2009.pdf
We'll be starting at the Cote Saint-Patrick put-in and going to Domaine Beriau or the Hydro-Quebec Rd. takeout

Plans are to meet at Tim Horton's in Hawkesbury ON at 10:00 AM then head over the river
GPS co-ordinates: 45.610383,-74.6048

Google maps suggests you give about 1 1/2 hours drive time from downtown Ottawa

If you have any questions or looking to carpool, give me a call at (613) 224-8507 after 6:00 PM Friday

Bill
