I was in the area as well last WE. Superb weather and paddling.
We slept at the St-Alban camping. Nice camping near by and with a nice canyon and rapid in the middle.
Got rock climbing and caves too.
I did the Tourillie last Sat, the Batiscan (les Portes de L'Enfer) on Sunday and then Pont Rouge on Monday to wind off.
3 new rivers/sections for me.

Batiscan was a long day with close to 2x 2hrs of shuttle (50km) on dirt roads - better take the train like guide Fortin is suggesting.
Use a long boat as there is a big 4km of flat in the middle and smaller ones here and there. 3 or 4 big nice rapids. Probably class III+ but with big holes to manage - or enjoy if you can't manage them. Last big rapid has a nasty big hole on the right side; stay left.

Tourillie was a delight.
Feels a bit like the Diable A has it is in a narrow canyon mostly. Not much easy walking.
We ran straight, boat-scouting everything but walked an easy to walk ledge with a less than ideal landing area.
Solid class IV with must make rapids.

Pont Rouge was too low for my taste. Front surf galore at 145, with river bed clearly close to the hull. Rape-?-Fromage was more fun. Not going there again below 200.

- Rivi?re-?-Pierre
- Mauvaise, plus facile que la Tourillie

A+

I dont want  paddling on a river as a creek ...tourilie r4(+),
whit who I never paddling .
I was on the tourilie last sunday.
there is some undercuts and good holes and little drops need to be a solid boater.

I could find us some friends if Plan A is still on!

I am still in (let's say 85% sure!)
Tourillie is a great river, not to be missed.

I'm thinking about a three-river adventure:  The Upper Tourilli (Friday 25th), The Batiscan (le Portes de L'Enfer)(Saturday 26th), and the Jeanotte (Sunday 27th).  These rivers are between Trois Rivieres and QC.  It's quite a bit of driving, so I'm thinking about leaving on Thursday afternoon.  The river levels look good right now, we'd have to keep an eye on them.
