A very good turnout. Thanks to everyone for making it the best event of the year. And thanks to anyone who hauled my butt out of the water. It was a lot of fun and makes me realize why we do it year after year. A very tasty beast with compliments to the beast master.

Thanks to everybody who fed me (Larry, you're the best!), made me feel happy (Anita, please never stop singing for us!), and made me laugh tears, e.g. the chubby bunny competitors (congrats to Dave!) and the cave men passionately creating sticks for hunting bisons and melting marshmallows. I have to admit that I've brought the masterpiece home with me. It is now proudly standing in my hallway, scaring away mammoths and maybe muggles (thanks, Bruce!).
Hoping to see you all soon somewhere on the water,
Dani

I’ll start:

I had a great day Saturday, bringing Tibor, the Slovak Wonder, and even Tomas was there after an absence almost as long as mine.

I disappointed Larry as he was preparing to train me as his replacement but I had other ideas.

I never flipped so much, 5 times I think but was able to roll. Have to work on my balance and paddling in a strait line, for sure.

Supper was delicious, Larry outdid himself yet again, (and hopefully he will outdo himself next year too:-)) , must be his new Hubby title driving wind under his apron.

It was great to see people after a two year plus absence but this river, at this level 13-15 feet was definitely at the limit of my present skills.

To all the hard working organizers like Larry, Anita, Daniel, John and Liz and people who brought shareables  I say a big thank you and see you next year!

Cheers

Paul:-)
