We got really lucky and caught a melt water "bubble". The flow was about 70 cms [Info-debit level of 90 x 0.8].
Lots of water and fast. The rapid called "Montagne Russes" ("rollercoaster") lived up to it's name.
The other major rapids were big as well; the last major rapid, below the Capucines, is listed as an R3 on the map but looked like the St. Regis section below the broken dam.
Amazing run finished off by dinner at the Saint-Arnould microbrewery in Mont-Trembant.

Hi folks,

For those interested, a group of us are headed to the Laurentians to run the Ouareau "Capucines" section.
It`s a class 3 - 4 river with mostly continuous whitewater.

Plans are to meet at the Tim Horton's in Gatineau on Montee Paiement & Autoroute 50
[GPS 45.504272,-75.676496] at 8:00AM and then head over to the takeout near Chertsey QC.

In order to shorten the shuttle, please bring vehicles that will carry 2 paddlers and 2 boats on the way there but can carry 4 boats and paddlers for the shuttle.
The idea is to do the shuttle as part of the drive to the put-in. Sounds a bit strange but it's really worth the effort.

The usual caveats about spring paddling and cold water gear apply...

Please feel free to use this thread to arrange rides etc
