The CdB holds this event each summer ... corn, potatoes, spit roasted beef. This year the event bounced back and forth and was almost canceled or changed into something else. I really couldn't post an update until all the ducks were in order. Darryll is more busy now in his retirement has lent us his spit contraption this year.
Tasks have been divided up into those three food categories. Paul is in charge of the potatoes, Annie and Sara taking care of the corn, and I will tending to the 25 lb roast beef this year. So for the Saturday dinner, the pot luck contribution could be any of the following: appetizers, salads, munchies, desserts ... booze wine, beer, shots if you so desire.
Prior to the downriver portion of the day, some kitchen prep has be done with some helping hands, and a corn husking circle created after the day on the river.
You will need to bring your own plate and cutlery
Some people head up Friday nite to camp rather than rushing around Saturday morning. The Perseid meteor shower sort of starts that weekend ...
